Roger shared with us five mistakes that were made during the 1st Christmas.

THE 2ND ADVENT

This week Geoff Bennett spoke to us on the 2nd advent. The first advent is when Jesus came the first time, which is what we remember at Christmas. The 2nd advent will be when Jesus comes again. Geoff spoke from Matthew 25:1-13, a parable that Jesus taught that reminds us that we should keep watch and be ready for his return.

WHO KNEW? WHY THEM? SO WHAT?

As we did not put up a service last week due to it being communion. We have included the whole service this week. Jonathan led a service with a variety of songs, including some Carols to help focus our minds on who Jesus is and to encourage us in our worship. Geoff Hoggard shared with us some musings he has had looking at part of the account of Jesus' birth recorded in Luke 2:1-20, which also got everyone thinking.

Today Steve Walker from Hope Community Church in Middleton spoke to us from Psalm 146 and unpacked this Psalm for us.
